Loving all that Roxie is...

I'm not really that much of a girlie girl. I hardly ever know what is in style and I definitely don't consider myself a trendsetter.  That being said when my customers saw the Roxie collection they went on and on about how they loved the zebra print! I had no idea it was popular again. But I decided to put together a little gift bag for anyone who wanted to host a party and I loved working with the paper. April 2011 Blog Contest Entry

This month the Workshop Club created using the Mayberry paper kit. As a challenge to progress in their projects the members are encouraged to compete in a contest using that month's paper pack. Simply Spring

I love spring. The new blooms on the flowers, green grass, and birds chirpping seem to make life a little more vibrant after months of dull hues and cold air. It seems that all of my friends are pregnant many of them delivering in a matter of weeks. Instead of doing the typical baby items on the card I wanted to use "Peter" Rabbit from Sensational Season (D1454). I was really drawn to keep the lines crisp and the card simple. The blues and greens just make me want to breathe in the fresh air. Thanks for looking.

Studio J step-by-step

Here is one of my recent Studio J creations. One of my favorite things to do with Studio J is to use the layouts with enlarged photos that way I get the most bang for the buck. If I was creating a traditional layout I would have to pay $8 to enlarge to an 8 x 10, additional photo cost, paper, and embellishments; but with a Studio J membership I am paying $6.50 for a 2-page layout, Free JEPG, and Free shipping.

Lucky Blog Contest

It just so happens that many of my CTMH friends have boys instead of girls. There is always the debate as to whether Close To My Heart makes available enough papers that will accommodate us with males to scrapbook. Well I think Lucky hits it out of the park! I love it because it has Outdoor Denim (blue) and Sunset (orange) as the feature colors. A wonderful color palette for older boys, outdoor trips, boy scouts, and for those Auburn fans in my life.

Once again my only entry is from Denise. I met Denise recently and she continually inspires me with her use of embellishments. She tackled the sewing technique on this layout, one that I am too chicken to try myself, and I think it just looks wonderful. Great job Denise!! Scrap in a Flash #2

This layout was so fun to make with Studio J because I didn't have the embellishments on hand that would have allowed me to color coordinate. But with Studio J all I had to do was click on the buttons and I could choose to have them match the clothes we were wearing. I made all the other pictures black & white to allow the colors to really pop.

As a side note this was such a fabulous trip. When you have a family of your own it is hard to find the time to get extended family together. It was so worth what ever sacrifices had to be made to spend time with just the women that I love and admire the most.

True sisters...My sister and I live in different towns. When we went to get dressed the first day in Mobile we realized we packed identical clothes. Used to happen a lot when we lived together in the same house so it just warmed my heart to see that sometimes we are two of the same even after all these years.

Here are a few Thank You cards that I made using the stamp set that comes only in the Wings Workshop on the Go. Love the pretty B&T that I was able to make with it. I was inspired by the skirt worn by one of the ladies at our church last Sunday.
