A Few More Cards

Here a few cards that I included with my grandmother's Christmas present along with her card box. This time I used Close to My Heart's Olivia paper kit(x7128B) and Felicity (special promo). My Acrylix stamp The Present(D1436) is one of my favorites out of the Autumn/Winter 2010 Idea Book. The box is My Creations Recipe/Photo Box(z1322).

Merry Christmas

I wanted to tell everyone Merry Christmas and hope that ya'll reflect on the gift that was given many years ago in the form of a baby. Jesus allows me to be "joyful" regardless of my circumstances and that is what I want to focus on not only today but everyday!

The Card Giver

I have to admit that I am not very good at sending cards. In fact I am not even mailing out Christmas cards this year. There is something about the over all execution of addressing and putting cards in the mailbox that becomes too difficult for me. However, my grandmother is wonderful about sending cards. I get one for every holiday, birthday, and even just for encouragement sometimes. There is something special about receiving a card in the mail (a bit of sunshine amid the piles of bills). So for Christmas I decided to make cards for her to send out to all her loved ones. I used the Close to My Heart Wishes book which gives me tons of card layouts to make the most of my paper. I chose to use Close to My Heart Magic Moments paper kit (hollyhock, sweet leaf, cocoa, & indian corn blue inks) along with various My Acrylix stamps. Hope you enjoy and maybe it will inspire you to send a card to a loved one today.

Captivating Summer Vacations

Growing up we went to Disney World every other summer. Some of my most fond childhood memories are the times that we were at Disney. Now that I have children of my own I love getting to take them to "The Happiest Place on Earth." Getting to scrapbook those fun trips is great, as I get to relive all those special moments. So I was thrilled when Close to My Heart released the Zippidee papers which went great with my Disney World Trips or any other theme park trips. If your summer vacation is on your list of pictures to scrapbook check out the Zippidee Workshops on the Go. It comes with the Zippidee Level 2 paper pack, Ticket to Ride B-sized Stamp Set, Dimensional Elements Stars, and a colorful Workshop Guide that gives you step by step instructions ona 2-page layout. All for only $29.99.

You also have plenty of paper left over to make additional layouts or maybe you would like to use it to make cards (instructions for cards are included in the Workshop Guide). I used my leftover paper to make another layout using the new Magic (How-to-Program).
